At the start of every season I feel it is very important to re-assess my footwear. I believe that making the right footwear purchases can help to complete an outfit and make the right style statement.
I love, love, love shoe shopping, its so therapeutic, it requires no getting undressed or breathing in to feel fabulous.
I have gone through my footwear for Autumn. I need a pair of flat boots for casual day to day wear that means I can easily run about without getting a sore back or feet. A smart pair of boots can make such a difference to how I feel when i’m getting ready to go out. My higher heeled boots are great for a smart look but I also need a practical flat pair.
I thought this week I would have a look through the stores in Aberdeen to see what was available at the moment and how much it might cost. I like to stay around £70/£80 and I prefer leather as I will wear them a lot and want to look after my feet!!
Looking at the current trends there are lots of options out there, metallic, leopard (a personal favourite), block heel, sock, patent, chelsea, velvet, brocade to name a few, better choice than previous years. Here are my top picks if you fancy buying yourself a pair.
Metallic is really fun but, for day to day may be quite a statement, so my search continues…..
I love a bit of reptile or leopard print, it goes with everything while still adding interest. Its a great way of adding fun to your outfit without going over the top. I’ve seen loads of leopard print everywhere, jackets, tops, shoes and bags so a very good investment for the season. As i’ve said animal print is a major favourite of mine, i’ve just bought a leopard print coat, so boots in the same print might be a bit much.
There are so many great plain leather boots with interesting heels, these are just a couple from M&S and Topshop, such a brilliant way to update a boot, not too scary for those who like to stick to simple styles.
So on to my favourite, which pair gets my vote?
I love burgundy, its the colour of the season and will go with all my different outfits. The patent style looks very smart and with the price being so good I wont mind if I have to replace them next year. With so much choice on the high street, there should be lots of fun boot shopping. Happy Shopping!!
